Dear Parents and Guardians,
It is an exciting time of year. There are many great things happening for this year and a lot of processes starting up that will help prepare us for next year. Our scheduling for the 25-26 school year started last night with our Program of Studies Kick Off, where our academic team talked about the courses that will run throughout the upcoming year. Students will be hearing presentations from our counselors and having meetings to begin requesting courses in the upcoming weeks.
Our second marking period is rapidly approaching its end. This will end our Semester 1 courses and many students will begin new courses for Semester 2.
Planning for our end of year events including our Greyhound choice, academic awards night and even graduation have begun. Be on the lookout for information about these and other events coming up. Dr. McCann

Looking back at last year’s Clinical Corner(feels funny to say that!) I wanted to practice what I preach so I took five minutes and answered the reflection questions. What I found was that it enabled me to have a self-aware start to the New Year. I don’t have to figure everything out, because the prompts reminded me that I actually know a lot about what works for me already. And now I just have to be consistent in doing those things that help me feel my best. I bet this would be the same for you and your students/teens. So that being said, I just want to give you a little assignment for the next two weeks until the next Clinical Corner comes out. I want you to really pay attention to what you are consistently doing…is it checking social media, going to Wawa every day, putting yourself down? I just want you to jot a couple notes down somewhere, maybe easiest to do in your phone. And just ask yourself, are these the important things that I want or need to be consistent with? Chances are some are and some aren’t. But it will help you be aware of what changes you need to make. And if you can be so consistent with some things that don’t really make much difference in your life, can you commit to trading them out for things that will? |

We have received many questions regarding the ability for students in juniors to park on campus. We believe that safety is a priority for our students and believe students parking on campus, instead of nearby side streets, is beneficial for student safety and have, therefore, looked for ways to update our current system which only allows seniors to park on campus.
To this end, we have the ability to offer 60 parking spots to juniors to allow parking on campus. These spots will be issued via lottery to students. Students must have the license, insurance and a vehicle by the application/lottery deadline to ensure they are included in that lottery. Three lotteries will happen between now and spring break.
Three Lotteries will be held during the 2024-2025 school year. The timeline for the first round of submissions is below.

We are beginning the winter sports season. While we appreciate our students wanting to come out and support their classmates, we are not equipped to provide supervision to student spectators. As a result, students who wish to watch a basketball game or wrestling match must first go home and then return, Middle School students may return with a responsible adult who will stay with them for the duration of the contest. |
