Dr. McCann attended The College of New Jersey and earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and English with a minor in Women and Gender Studies. Dr. McCann holds a Master’s Degree from New Jersey City University in Urban Education and Administration and a Ph.D. in Literacy from St. John’s University.

Prior to joining the team at Northern, Dr. McCann worked as a middle school math teacher and principal in Camden, NJ as well as an assistant principal at Cinnaminson High School. Dr. McCann has a passion for supporting all students and ensuring they have what they need to be successful.  She is excited to join the team at Northern and be able to see all the greatness that faculty, staff and students accomplish.
