| | During the week of February 10, the middle school will be holding our annual Blue Grey Competition. Our student body will be divided into a Blue Team (last names starting with the letters A-K) and a Grey Team (last names starting with the letters L-Z). During the course of the week, the students will engage in various competitions school wide and in classes to earn points for their team. There will be dress themes (see picture) for each day. In addition, students can earn points for their team by bringing in non-perishable food items. Each item will earn them points for their team and the food will be donated to a local food bank. Students have the opportunity to help their team and help those in need. We will conclude the week with a Blue-Grey competition at the end of the day on Thursday, February 13. Students will get to compete in small games and/or cheer on their classmates as they compete. We look forward to a fun week. | | YEARBOOK PARENT ADS = DEADLINE EXTENDED

| | | | I hope you took time for yourself and encouraged your students/teens to do so as well to reflect on 2024. Since January is often the month to declutter and organize basically anything and everything, it is also a good way to give your mental health a boost right at the start of the New Year. Here are some key points as to how decluttering helps your mental health:
Reduces stress: Clutter can trigger feelings of overwhelm and stress, while decluttering provides a sense of order and control, lowering cortisol levels. Improves focus: When your surroundings are organized, it becomes easier to concentrate on tasks and reduce distractions, leading to better focus and productivity. Boosts mood: The act of decluttering and achieving a clean space can provide a sense of accomplishment, leading to a more positive mood and increased self-esteem. Enhances sleep: A tidy bedroom can promote better sleep quality by creating a calming environment for relaxation. Increases creativity: Clearing out unnecessary items can open up mental space for new ideas and creative thinking and writing. | | | | https://secure.acsevents.org/site/STR?pg=entry&fr_id=109671
