| | Northern Burlington County Regional Middle School has been selected by the New Jersey Children’s Oral Health Program to participate in a basic dental screening survey on Thursday, February 27. Students who participate will have an approximately 5 minute screening during their physical education class. Participation is completely optional and requires written parental consent. If parents wish to have their child participate, this parental consent document, linked HERE, needs to be printed, signed, and returned to the main office. Your student’s participation will help the state build local oral health programs and increase Dental services for children in New Jersey. Parents will also receive a letter indicating the results of the screening and information on where to obtain free or reduced cost dental services, and the student will receive a dental kit including a toothbrush. The last day to submit the consent forms is February 13, 2025. For any questions or additional information, please contact The Middle School Nurse, Mrs. Pugliese, 609-298-3900 x 4030 or tpugliese@nburlington.com | | ![](https://cdn.smore.com/u/thumbs/831e/thumb-0a8a359cf026dee1d093efa2d958816c.jpeg) | Congrats to this week's NB3 honorees who were recognized for being Ready, Respecctful, and Responsible. Keep up the great work! | | STAT Club/No Place for Hate will host its annual door decorating activity for Black History Month. To provide time for the door decorating, we will be running an extended homeroom schedule from Tuesday, January 21st through Friday, January 24th. This brief slide presentation outlines the activity we are planning. We look forward to seeing the different individuals the students work together to select and the team work they will need to use to create the door decorations. Any questions, please contact me. | | | | Looking back at last year’s Clinical Corner(feels funny to say that!) I wanted to practice what I preach so I took five minutes and answered the reflection questions. What I found was that it enabled me to have a self-aware start to the New Year. I don’t have to figure everything out, because the prompts reminded me that I actually know a lot about what works for me already. And now I just have to be consistent in doing those things that help me feel my best. I bet this would be the same for you and your students/teens. So that being said, I just want to give you a little assignment for the next two weeks until the next Clinical Corner comes out. I want you to really pay attention to what you are consistently doing…is it checking social media, going to Wawa every day, putting yourself down? I just want you to jot a couple notes down somewhere, maybe easiest to do in your phone. And just ask yourself, are these the important things that I want or need to be consistent with? Chances are some are and some aren’t. But it will help you be aware of what changes you need to make. And if you can be so consistent with some things that don’t really make much difference in your life, can you commit to trading them out for things that will? | | Here is a link to NTV's most recent news show with stories about our winter MS and HS band and chorus concerts, winter craft fair, district FFA activities, and more. While we appreciate our students wanting to come out and support their classmates, we are not equipped to provide supervision to student spectators. As a result, students who wish to watch a basketball game or wrestling match must first go home and then return with a responsible adult who will stay with them for the duration of the contest. There will be a sign in process for students and their adult chaperones when they arrive at the contest. | ![Andrew Kearns's picture](https://cdn.smore.com/e/8a0bz/-PC9BP-Mii.png) | Andrew Kearns Andrew is using Smore to create beautiful newsletters |
