| | The first middle school dance of the year will be October 25. Looking to that date, here is some information about that dance (and dances, in general). Tickets will be sold in advance during the school day, Monday 10/21 - Thursday 10/24, and no tickets will be sold at the door. The price is $5.00. To be eligible to purchase a ticket, a student’s family must have completed the Federal Impact Aid Survey Form. See below information about the Federal Impact Aid Survey below. If you need any assistance completing the form, please contact the school. In addition to a ticket, students must have their student ID to gain admittance to the dance. The dance is for Northern Burlington Middle School students only. The dance will be from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Students should not arrive early and rides should be ready to pick up students promptly at the end of the dance at 8:30 pm. (students are expected to stay until 8:30) Students must be in school the entire day of the dance in order to attend the dance, as it is a half day. Students may use NB3 tickets to purchase a dance ticket with each NB3 ticket the equivalent of $1. NB3 tickets must be used to pay the entire cost of the ticket, and may not be combined with dollars (it makes the book keeping so much simpler).
We look forward to a fun evening for our students. It is important that they remember to be ready, respectful, and responsible so it is a positive experience for all of our students and staff. | | October 15, 2024 – November 1, 2024 Each fall, the Northern Burlington County Regional School District reaches out to all parents asking that they complete the Federal Impact Aid survey. This is a very important document that needs to be completed in a timely manner. To make this process more convenient for our families, this Federal Impact Aid survey can be completed electronically. The Northern Burlington County Regional School District must receive an annual signed survey from ALL parents or guardians for EACH student in order to receive federal funding of military affiliated students. Please note that even if you are not active in the military or a civilian working on federal property, it is essential that ALL parents and guardians complete and sign this form as of October 15, 2024 by November 1, 2024. Federal Impact Aid supports local school districts with concentrations of children who have parents/guardians in the uniformed services or parents/guardians employed on eligible Federal Properties. It was designed to assist local school districts that have lost property tax revenue due to the presence of tax-exempt Federal Property served by the district. Each year, Northern Burlington receives Federal Impact Aid funds because of your cooperation in returning these forms to us in a timely manner. For our District to meet the filing deadline, we need to have the completed form(s) submitted no later than November 1, 2024, even if your employment does not fall within the categories listed on the survey. Please note, as of October 15, 2024 you will not be able to access your child(ren)’s grades until the survey form is completed so, please complete this electronic survey form in a timely fashion. Click here to log into your PowerSchool parent account, once logged in click on the link from the left side of the webpage that says Forms and complete the “Title VIII Federal Impact Aid Survey” for the current year, electronically. A form needs to be submitted for each child, however if submitting for multiple children, please click the arrow up key next to the submit button. This will allow you to submit the form for each child without having to reproduce each survey selection. Thank you for your continued support of the Northern Burlington County Regional School District. If you have additional questions, please contact Jill Markley, Administrative Assistant, at (609) 298-3900, extension 2003 or Richard Kaz, School Business Administrator, extension 2080. | | The homecoming celebration is Saturday, October 19. Please visit this WEBSITE to register. If you already have an account, please sign in with your current username and password. DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT! If you need assistance, please contact the Athletic Office at 609-298-3900, ext. 2093 or email moneill@nburlington.com | | September was Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and while there are a lot of resources out there for neuro-typical teens there is not a lot for teens with autism or other disabilities who might process feelings differently as well as present with symptoms in a unique way. That being said, it was exciting to see that the crisis line 988 has a question/answer fact sheet called 988 Information for the Autism Community. And while it is designated for that population, I think everyone would benefit from the extra information explained so one knows what to expect when they call. If you go to this website- www.autismcrisissupport.com, you will find not only that but a whole toolkit of resources on suicide prevention for the autism community. Please feel free to pass it on to anyone you think it would help. Hopefully there will be more things like this coming down the pike. | | Is your child in need of academic support? Members of the High School National Honors Society provide tutoring to all Northern Burlington students. Middle School students can attend tutoring after school on Mondays and Wednesdays in the Greyhound Learning Center. Interested students simply need to sign up during their lunch period.
