| | October 15, 2024 – November 1, 2024 Each fall, the Northern Burlington County Regional School District reaches out to all parents asking that they complete the Federal Impact Aid survey. This is a very important document that needs to be completed in a timely manner. To make this process more convenient for our families, this Federal Impact Aid survey can be completed electronically. The Northern Burlington County Regional School District must receive an annual signed survey from ALL parents or guardians for EACH student in order to receive federal funding of military affiliated students. Please note that even if you are not active in the military or a civilian working on federal property, it is essential that ALL parents and guardians complete and sign this form as of October 15, 2024 by November 1, 2024. Federal Impact Aid supports local school districts with concentrations of children who have parents/guardians in the uniformed services or parents/guardians employed on eligible Federal Properties. It was designed to assist local school districts that have lost property tax revenue due to the presence of tax-exempt Federal Property served by the district. Each year, Northern Burlington receives Federal Impact Aid funds because of your cooperation in returning these forms to us in a timely manner. For our District to meet the filing deadline, we need to have the completed form(s) submitted no later than November 1, 2024, even if your employment does not fall within the categories listed on the survey. Please note, as of October 15, 2024 you will not be able to access your child(ren)’s grades until the survey form is completed so, please complete this electronic survey form in a timely fashion. Click here to log into your PowerSchool parent account, once logged in click on the link from the left side of the webpage that says Forms and complete the “Title VIII Federal Impact Aid Survey” for the current year, electronically. A form needs to be submitted for each child, however if submitting for multiple children, please click the arrow up key next to the submit button. This will allow you to submit the form for each child without having to reproduce each survey selection. Thank you for your continued support of the Northern Burlington County Regional School District. If you have additional questions, please contact Jill Markley, Administrative Assistant, at (609) 298-3900, extension 2003 or Richard Kaz, School Business Administrator, extension 2080. | | The homecoming celebration is Saturday, October 19. This event is open to the public. Beginning at 11:00 a.m. there is a “carnival” with displays and activities set up by the different student organizations in the high school. | | School pictures will be taken on October 22 by LifeTouch photography company. This will take place during Physical Education Classes (students will not engage in regular activities that day). Families may choose to order pictures and can place and order by following the link below: Northern Burlington County Regional - Picture Day Flyer.pdf Even if families do not plan to purchase a picture package, all students will be photographed. The pictures are used for the yearbook and student IDs. | | The Parent Teacher Student Connection will be hosting a book fair the week of October 21. Students will have an opportunity to visit the book fair over the course of the week and make purchases if they wish to do so.
The proceeds from the Book Fair benefit the PTSC and the middle school media center. Please see the WEBPAGE for setting up an eWallet and volunteering for this event.
| | The PTSC is holding a raffle for a Yeti Cooler as well as several other gift cards to local merchants. Please see the flier for more information. Proceeds benefit the PTSC.
| | The first middle school dance of the year will be October 25. Looking to that date, here is some information about that dance (and dances, in general). Tickets will be sold in advance during the school day the week of the dance and no tickets will be sold at the door. In addition to a ticket, students must have their student ID to gain admittance to the dance. The dance is for Northern Burlington Middle School students only. The dance will be from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Students should not arrive early and rides should be ready to pick up students promptly at the end of the dance at 8:30 pm. Students must be in school the day of the dance in order to attend the dance. Students may use NB3 tickets to purchase a dance ticket with each NB3 ticket the equivalent of $1. NB3 tickets must be used to pay the entire cost of the ticket, and may not be combined with dollars (it makes the book keeping so much simpler).
We look forward to a fun evening for our students. It is important that they remember to be ready, respectful, and responsible so it is a positive experience for all of our students and staff. | | The 2025 Polaris Yearbook is now accepting pre-orders! | | Thanks to our students and teachers for their participation in the Week of Respect activities. It was great to see how many participated in the daily dress up themes. Of course, respect is not a concept that is limited to this week alone. It is a topic we have touched on from the beginning of the year (it is one of our core values, Be Ready, Be Respectful, Be Responsible), and I am sure we will return to it throughout the year. However, it was nice to be able to focus on that concept this week and we look forward to those discussions promoting respectful behavior moving forward.

That being said, it was exciting to see that the crisis line 988 has a question/answer fact sheet called 988 Information for the Autism Community. And while it is designated for that population, I think everyone would benefit from the extra information explained so one knows what to expect when they call. If you go to this website- www.autismcrisissupport.com, you will find not only that but a whole toolkit of resources on suicide prevention for the autism community. Please feel free to pass it on to anyone you think it would help. Hopefully there will be more things like this coming down the pike. | | Is your child in need of academic support? Members of the High School National Honors Society provide tutoring to all Northern Burlington students. Middle School students can attend tutoring after school on Mondays and Wednesdays in the Greyhound Learning Center. Interested students simply need to sign up during their lunch period.
